Pat Jasan and Mogaung police seize raw opium and arrest addicts

A joint force of Loi Li Yang Pat Jasan and Burmese government’s police raided a house in Loi Li Yang village on June 11. They seized about 16 pounds of raw opium and arrested 6 addicts who were consuming opium in that house.

Similarly, a joint force of personal from Burmese government’s forest department and anti-narcotics force arrested 12 people for charges of trafficking heroin in Mansi town on June 12.

In Hpakant township, church and community leaders gathered at a church in Mashi Kahtawng on June 12 to discuss an anti-drug campaign plan.
