Burmese army troops active along Nhkram-Kagam-Sama route reportedly fired several rounds of heavy mortars at KIA 252nd Mobile Battalion’s Gidon post on December 14.
Between 5:30 p.m.- 7:00 p.m. on December 13, a total of 45 rounds of heavy mortars were fired at KIA’s Gidon post. On December 14, over 50 rounds of heavy mortars were fired at KIA’s Lai Hpawng post, a frontline source reported.
On December 13 approximately at 12:30 p.m. in northern Shan State, unknown Burmese army troops approaching from Kutkai and KIA’s troops from 8th Battalion under 4th Brigade reportedly clashed between Shu Hkin Ta and Namphalun.
Two Burmese army helicopter gunships launched attacks on KIA troops from 9th Battalion at a paddy field between Kawnglim and Na Hpai villages on December 12, as Burmese army ground troops were getting butchered having been cornered and facing annihilation. Two other military helicopters launched airstrikes on KIA’s 9th Battalion troops at the foot of Hu Long Hill at 1:00 p.m., according to the frontline source.
