Burmese army’s artillery shells fall again in Chinese side of the border on Wednesday during an attack on MNDAA’s 221st Battalion by Burmese Army troops. Locals said at least 3 shells landed in near Mai Ti village in Chinese side on Wednesday’s attacks between 7 am to 5:30 pm.
Another shell fired from a Burmese Air Force’s fighter jet fell near Hpung Wi village, a Shan village in Chinese side, at around 5 pm. Two fighter jets and two helicopters were used to bomb on Kokang positions near Ta Shwe Htang.
China’s foreign ministry spokesman warned on March 10 that a civilian home was hit by artillery shell. Hong Lei, the spokesman, asked Myanmar side to take necessary measures to prevent similar incidents from happening again.
