BA troops, Da Law and Sinbo militias attacked a KIO local office

A combined force of Burma Army (BA) troops from 250th LIB, Da Law Militia and Sinbo Militia advanced into KIA’s 5th Battalion positions in Woi Gyi area in Monyin township on Sept 5 at around 9 am. KIA frontline sources said BA troops fired 5 rounds of 105 mm howitzer and several assault rifle rounds as they marched close to KIO’s local administration office. Local sources said BA troops detained a village elder and a buddhist monk from Hkawng Mye village as they lodged for the night.
