Skirmish continues in northern Shan state

A skirmish took place between KIA’s 2nd Battalion troops and a BA column at a field between Hpak Gum Bum and Man Pying village in northern Shan state on June 5. KIA sources said the two sides began fighting at around 12 pm as a BA column consists of over 50 soldiers suddenly appeared in front of KIA troops who were resting for a meal.

In eastern Kachin state, BA’s 141st Light Infantry Battalion troops currently based at Lagwi village fired two 60mm mortar rounds on a KIA’s 33rd Battalion position near Lagwi village in Chipwi township on June 4 at 5:30 pm.
