Timeline of April 11 BA Shelling of KIA Frontline positions

2:00 pm – Shrapnel from 10 rounds of 120mm fired by Burma Army (BA) stationed at Sinlum, Bhamo township towards Kachin Independence Army (KIA) 1st Battalion positions, fell on the house of Maru Ze Awng of Mung Hka Pa Hpri Di village, Mai Chyu village electrical station and Balawng Kawng. 

2:00 pm – BA forces from Nga Gyang fired 4 rounds of what was thought to be 82mm mortar towards KIA 3rd Battalion frontline positions at Zai Awng. BA forces at Law Hpyu fired 3 rounds of 106 mm towards Samda Bum frontline positions.

2:00 pm – BA forces stationed at Alaw Bum fired 2 rounds of 60mm on KIA 30thvBattalion’s Jam Ga Post. 

2:00 pm – 2:15 pm – BA forces stationed at Hpun Pyen Bum, Laiza, fired 3 rounds of 82mm mortar towards Kumba Yang village and 20 rounds of what was assumed to be 82mm mortar towards Ura Bum, HQ of KIA 19th Battalion.

2:05 pm – BA forces stationed at U Ga Shan, Laiza, fired 2 rounds of heavy artillery towards Lai Sin, KIA 18th Battalion HQ, and 5 rounds of 60mm towards Bum Noi and Lung Rawk posts.

2:05 pm – 5:30 pm: BA’s Regional Tactical Command stationed at Danai in Hugawng, fired 20 rounds of 105mm mortar towards KIA 2nd Brigade HQ.

2:05 pm – 3 pm: BA’s Pin Dawng Training Battalion fired 16 rounds of heavy artillery towards KIA 11th Battalion HQ. 

2:10 pm – 3:25 pm: BA forces stationed at Hka Ya Bum, Bum Re Bum and Lung Rawk at Laiza, fired 23 rounds of heavy artillery towards the Lang Ta Bum KIA 23rd Battalion area. 

3:05 pm – BA forces stationed at Sama fired 3 rounds of heavy artillery towards KIA 253rd Mobile Battalion positions. 

4:10 pm – BA forces stationed at Hka Ya Bum fired one round of heavy artillery towards Alen Bum.
