A battle took place between KIA’s 27th battalion troops and a Burmese army unit at Zaibru Hkyet in Mansi township on February 6 at 9:20 am. The battle lasted for about an hour, reported a KIA frontline source.
On the same day, Kai Htik-based Burmese army troops fired 5 rounds of 105 mm howitzer and Mada Bum-based Burmese army troops fired 3 rounds of 82 mm mortar on KIA position at Pali Bum at around 9:05 am. The frontline source said its troops stationed at Pali Bum responded by firing 10 rounds of 82 mm mortar shells on Burmese army’s positions.
Balawng Dingsa-based Burmese army troops fired 2 mortar rounds on KIA 27th battalion’s position at Maji Gung Kaba on February 4 at 5:50 pm.
In Danai township, KIA’s 14th battalion troops battled Burmese army troops at Lapu Hka on February 6 at 9:05 am. During the battle, Nban Hka-based Burmese army troops fired 10 artillery rounds on KIA position.
Burmese army troops currently based at Tsan Lun village reportedly fired 4 artillery rounds on KIA 14th battalion’s position at Li Su Kawng in Nam Hkam village on February 6 at 7 pm.
On February 5, Burmese army troops launched an attack on KIA 14th battalion’s position at Woi Jin Hka at around 2:30 pm. The two sides fought for about an hour, reported the frontline source.
