Locals Forcibly Recruited By Kawng Hka Pyithutsits

A frontline KLN source reported that since early March, Kawng Hka local militia group based in Kuthkai township in northern Shan State has been recruiting new troops in an attempt to beef up their military strength. The militia group has been holding meetings in several villages to garner support from locals. So far, over 300 civilians have forcibly been taken from their families and are being held captive at Kawng Hka Pa, local elders reported.

Similarly on March 7, more than 10 civilians on their way to attending the graduation ceremony at Kutkai Bible College were reportedly seized by the same militia group, eyewitnesses told KLN.
