Battles Continue Unabated in Areas Surrounding Kutkai

In areas surrounding Kutkai in northern Shan State beginning approximately at 3:30 a.m. on March 14, TNLA troops belonging to 595th, 101st, and 223rd Battalions reportedly engaged Burmese Army’s 123rd Battalion troops at least four times, according to a frontline source.

A typical Burmese army response after suffering big losses, Burmese army units based in areas surrounding Kutkai began recklessly firing several rounds of heavy artillery towards the town. As a result, several civilians and cattle from Nam Hkum village in Kutkai have been wounded and killed, the KLN has learnt.
