Battles Rage at Ding Gri Bum and Man Yawn in Manton Township

In northern Shan state on January 28 afternoon, fighting erupted at Ding Gri Bum, headquarters of its 34th Battalion troops, as KIA troops engaged an advancing Burmese army unit. Ding Gri Bum is located in Manton Township in nothern Shan State.

Similarly on January 27 approximately at 5:30 p.m., KIA’s 34th Battalion troops under 6th Brigade reportedly fought Burmese army troops belonging to 88th Light Infantry Division(LID) who were making advances to Man Yawn, a frontline KLN source reported.

The Burmese army offensives in areas operated by KIA’s 34th Battalion troops have intensified since January 25, the source told KLN.
