Burmese Fighter Jets And Artillery Pound KIA’s Lai Hpawng Post

Two Burmese army fighter jets bombed KIA 3rd Battalion’s Lai Hpawng post Monday for at least six rounds, in concert with a push by its ground troops beginning 4:30 p.m.

A frontline source said Burmese artillery units fired several artillery rounds on Lai Hpawng post from Gidon Nhkram mountain range, which fell into Burmese army’s hands on Dec 16.

Several dozen of mortar shells were fired by Burmese troops on Hpau Dau at around 9:40 a.m., and on Law Hkum at around 3:45 p.m.

Similarly, Burmese army troops currently based at Hpun Pyen Bum fired over 10 mortar rounds on Lawa Yang situated near Laiza on the same day at around 1:20 a.m.
