KIA and ABSDF (NB) Troops Fought Together Against Burmese Army

Burmese army troops stationed at Masen Hill in Laja Yang, just a few miles from KIO headquarters Laiza, reportedly fired five shots with a MG-42 gun at KIA troops from 23rd Battalion under 7th Brigade on December 7 at around 12:05 p.m, reported a KIA source.

The source said fighting between Burmese army’s 36th and 228th Light Infantry Battalions approaching Da Wai village and KIA’s 5th Battalion under 8th Brigade lasted from 1:20 p.m. – 3:40 p.m. on December 7 in southwestern Kachin State.

The KLN has learnt that the ABSDF (Northern Burma) troops also fought alongside their KIA counterparts.
