Vehicles Transporting Burmese Troops Ambushed by KIA and TNLA Troops

On December 4 from 4:40 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., between Nam Hpalun and Nam Gut villages, KIA troops from 8th Battalion under 4th Brigade attacked vehicles transporting Burmese troops.

A local source reported Burmese troops from 290th Light Infantry Battalion and KIA’s 9th Battalion troops fought between Ya Htaik Company and Nam Um village from 8:40 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. on December 4. Furthermore, from 3:40 a.m. to 4:25 a.m. on December 4, between Nam Hpalun and Man Loi, KIA soldiers from 8th Battalion carried out an attack on Burmese troops coming from Kut Hkai. Moving along with civilian vehicles, there were a total of 50 military vehicles transporting Burmese soldiers, according to the source.

On the same day at 6:40 a.m., between Namhpakka and Hu Nawng, KIA troops from 9th Battalion attacked those Burmese troops again. Between Nam HKai and Man Loi at 3:45 a.m., two government vehicles were destroyed by TNLA’s 223rd Battalion’s mortar attacks. It is reported a third vehicle was destroyed by TNLA’s 77th Battalion at Hang Kau bridge in Hu Mung village at 9:10 a.m.
