Burmese Army Continued Artillery Fire From Mansi’s Pagoda

Burmese Army’s artillery unit currently stationed at Pagoda hill, located in the middle of Mansi Town, fired several artillery rounds on KIA’s 1st Battalion position on Oct 3 beginning 4:30 pm.  Mansi residents and Pagoda’s Gawpaka members wrote a letter to Kachin State’s prime minister to stop artillery fire from civilian area and religious compound but no response has been reported so far.

A battle broke out between KIA’s 36th Battalion troops and Burmese Army troops near Hkun Hka village in northern Shan State on Oct 2 at 7 am. No casualties on either side have been reported.
