Battle rages between KIA’s 1st Battalion troops and a combined force of Burmese Army’s 438th Light Infantry Regiment (LIR) and 121st Light Infantry Battalion (LIB) troops at Chyau Hkawng village, located just 2 miles southeast of Mansi, on Tuesday at 10 am. The battle lasted about 5 hours.
Another battle took place between KIA’s 1st Battalion troops and Burmese Army’s 348th LIR and 47th LIB troops at a location between Lung Ja Hkyet and Hkindu Hkyet, located near Chyau Hkawng village, on the same day at 4:30 pm.
Burmese Army troops currently stationed at Pagoda hill in Taung Lein Shan village battled KIA’s 27th Battalion troops near Mai Hkawng village, located about 10 miles southwest of Mansi, on Sept 28 at 8:30 am.
About 250 Burmese Army troops from 47th LIB, 348th LIR and 601st LIR launched an attack on KIA’s 27th Battalion’s Lung Ja Hkyet post on Sept 27th at 4:40 pm, reported a KIA frontline source.
In northern Shan State, KIA’s 34th Battalion troops fought Burmese Army troops under 77th and 88th Light Infantry Division near Man Yawn Bum, located between Momeik and Manton, on Sept 29 at 10 am. No casualties have been reported on either side for the battle lasted about 7 hours.
