A combined force of KIA’s 12th and 27th Battalions troops on Thursday fought Burmese Army’s 601st Light Infantry Regiment troops at Dawng Ling Bum, located between Mung Hkawng and Laika village in Mansi Township. No casualties have been reported on either side.
KIA troops ambushed a Burmese Army’s truck convoy at Pat Kwiq on Sept 23. KIA source said the convoy was travelling from Bhamo to Mung Hkawng, where battles have been raging.
In northern Shan State, KIA’s 39th Battalion troops battled Burmese Army troops under 77th and 88th Light Infantry Divisions near Man Yawn village on Sept 23 at 11:30 am. The battle lasted for about an hour and both sides suffered an unknown number of casualties, said a KIA source.
Burmese Army troops fired several mortar rounds on Manghang Bum Post, where a combined force of KIA’s 9th Battalion troops and TNLA troops currently stationed, on Sept 24 at 9 am.
TNLA source said its 571st Battalion troops engaged in a battle against Burmese Army troops under 99th Light Infantry Division on Sept 24 beginning 9 am. The battle lasted for five hours and at least 20 Burmese Army soldiers died and 1 TNLA soldier wounded in this battle, said PSLF/TNLA Information Department.
