Burmese Army Seized KIA’s 7th Battalion Frontline Post

A KIA frontline source said one of its 7th Battalion frontline posts located near Lawt Mai Yang village was seized by Burmese Army’s 138th Light Infantry Battalion troops on Wednesday at 11 am. KIA soldiers had to abandon their post after a large number of Burmese Army troops surrounded and attacked them with overwhelming firepower, said the KIA source.

A battle took place between KIA’s 36th Battalion troops and Burmese Army troops under 99th Light Infantry Division near Loi Lak village, Muse Township, in northern Shan State on Aug 25 at 4:30 pm. No casualties have been reported from either side.
