Artillery Shells Landed near IDP Boarding School

Several artillery shells fired by Burmese army’s post at Hkaya Bum landed near Alen Bum IDP boarding school on June 25 at 6 pm. According to KIO relief team IRRC, shrapnel from the mortar shell hit the school headmaster’s kitchen.

There are 986 IDP students currently studying at the boarding school. They are IDP students who had fled their own villages and towns since the renewed war began in June 2011.
