Four Shells Fell in Chinese Soil on Wednesday

Burmese army’s artillery shells fall again in Chinese side of the border on Wednesday during an attack on MNDAA’s 221st Battalion by Burmese Army troops. Locals said at least 3 shells landed in near Mai Ti village in Chinese side on Wednesday’s attacks between 7 am to 5:30 pm.

Another shell fired from a Burmese Air Force’s fighter jet fell near Hpung Wi village, a Shan village in Chinese side, at around 5 pm. Two fighter jets and two helicopters were used to bomb on Kokang positions near Ta Shwe Htang.

China’s foreign ministry spokesman warned on March 10 that a civilian home was hit by artillery shell. Hong Lei, the spokesman, asked Myanmar side to take necessary measures to prevent similar incidents from happening again.
