602nd LIR Troops Parade a Captured Kachin Volunteer

A Kachin volunteer who was captured by Burmese Army troops last month was forced to direct homes that have links to KIA and armed Kachin volunteers in Daw Sar Chyun village in Daw Hpum Yang area.

According to a local source, the captured volunteer was shown parading around Daw Sar Chyun village with both of his hands tied by Burmese army’s Shwe Gu-based 602nd Light Infantry Regiment troops led by Lt. Col. Soe Myit Kyaw.

602nd LIR troops attacked a frontline post guarded by seven Kachin volunteers killing two volunteers and captured one on Dec 19.
